What Is A POP3 Mail Box?
When an email is sent to you we store it in a "box" on our server, because you are not always online 24 hours a day 7 days a week, you need a POP3 mail box to catch and store you email until you do come online. You can then use your mail program (Outlook Express, Netscape, Eudora, Pegasus, etc.) to log into your POP3 mail box via your local access provider to read your mail. Each POP account requires a unique username and password to access the mail.
Why Do I Need This?
Because it's independent of your local access provider, it means that you can move from one ISP to another and still have access to your email. You can view your personal email at work via the web email interface, or office email at home. You can use your own domain name, if you haven't got one, it's easy to get and use a domain with your Mr Pop Box account.
